The Seniors’ ministry at St Giles is a fantastic community - 50 or so seniors regularly join in the monthly activities with joy and enthusiasm. Our aim is to welcome and bring friendship, company and support to all seniors in the parish whether they are regular church goers or not.
Once a month on a Tuesday morning we gather for coffee and cake at a local garden centre (lifts are available). We also arrange a different activity each month - we enjoy afternoon teas, interesting talks, games and quizzes, Afternoons at the Movies in church, a book group, a sewing & knitting group, as well as visits to places of interest. Every December we enjoy a festive celebration - a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, a Christmas quiz and a sing song of carols.
All activities are advertised on the annual Term Card which can be picked up from the back of Church or can be downloaded here.
Whether you are new to the area, new to St. Giles or have been a member of the church family for a long time, you are most welcome to join us at any time. If you have any questions do get in touch with the church office - [email protected] or 07948 834250.
