Covid-19 Arrangements for Services
We'd love to welcome you to St Giles for worship, here are the arrangements that we have in place to keep us all safe.
Seating arrangements
There is no need to register for services in advance, but we are using the NHS track and trace system. Our seating is spaced. Please keep at least 2 seats between households and avoid sitting directly behind others.
Singing
Restrictions on congregational singing have all been lifted which means we can now have a full choir and larger worship groups and all church members can sing as normal. If you are worried about being close to people who are singing then perhaps choose a seat at the side or back of St Giles.
Masks / Face coverings
We've designated the back area of church as 'masks required'. Please keep masks on for the duration of the service in these areas. The rest of church will be 'masks optional' you can choose whether to wear a mask or not in these areas. You might want to wear a mask for one part of the service but not another, it is at each individuals' discretion.
The Peace / Coffee time / Catching up
We aim for services to last no more than an hour, and the doors will be open to help with ventilation. We 'hold back' on physically greeting one another at the peace and encourage mingling outside St Giles after the services rather than in the building. Coffee and refreshments remain suspended for the time being.
