Baptisms at St Giles usually take place as part of our Sunday morning service at 10.30am. We have a baptism service most months. As part of the service, parents and godparents make promises and affirm their Christian commitment so it’s important that you have been to the church a bit before we make any arrangements, to give you the opportunity to get to know us and us to get to know you too. We would love to welcome you to one of our Sunday services.
We then hold a baptism preparation evening where those who are considering baptism for their children meet together with a member of the clergy and discuss the meaning of baptism and the responsibilities it entails. These are relaxed events, and are really about giving you a chance to ask questions and get to know us, and the ways in which we can support you in raising your child in the Christian faith.
To let us know that you are interested in having your child baptised, please complete the Baptism Enquiry Form below with a few details about yourselves. One of the St Giles' clergy team will be in touch, but should you have any questions in the meantime please email the church office.
