Baptisms

Picture
Baptisms at St Giles take place on the third Sunday of each month during the 10am service. Just as children learn language simply by being surrounded by it and by trying it out, we baptise children of Christian parents in the expectation that they will naturally learn from them what 'living in Christ' means.

Each quarter we hold a baptism preparation evening where those who are considering baptism for their children meet together with a member of the clergy and discuss the meaning of baptism and the responsibilities it entails. These are relaxed events, and are really about giving you a chance to ask questions and get to know us, and the ways in which we can support you in raising your child in the Christian faith.

If you would like to know more please email the Rector.

Funerals

If you are arranging a funeral in the first instance you should contact a local funeral director who will then guide you in the subsequent arrangements you need to make.
